Part Two -
CBL Recreation

A little of Hanna's handi-work; The wooden buck and
hand formed nose

Another shot of the nose and front body section

The very gracefully shaped "chute pack" rear body
section

The body is really taking shape at this point. Talk
about craftsmanship !!!!

All the body panels are finished and fitted

Another piece of metal shaping art; The two piece
hand formed seat

While the original car had a five gallon "Moon" tank,
the new cackler needed a
bit more capacity so Hanna and his crew made this eleven gallon beauty that
when in the frame
rails still looks like the
old "Moon" tank

Mickey Thompson was a major sponsor of the original
car so of course it used a lot
of M/T parts. The ones
on this car were the first ones cast by Mickey out of
magnesium and are
non-existent at this point. So what
does one do?? If you are
Tom Hanna, you make them yourself from aluminum.

Beautiful work !!!

One of the breathers after initial machining

The M/T blower manifold also had to be fabricated

Unable to find the very early model Enderle
"Bug-Catcher" injector used one t
he original, Jerry bought
a 1966 unit from Mike Kuhl and Hanna machined it to
look like the older one.

The finished injector hat

The famed Hanna craftsmanship is evident where ever
you look

Details, details, details.........

You won't find one of these down at the local Auto
Zone

Even though this car may never need to use the chute,
it is mounted in the proper manner
